I'm currently in the process of making a unified audition repertoire sourcebook for the underclassmen at the university I attend, and I was just curious of some of the songs and monologues others use for their audition packages. I'll start by listing my own most recently used package:
Larger than Life from MY FAVORITE YEAR
Asking for You from DO RE MI
and Biff's monologue from DEATH OF A SALESMAN
A Little More Masquera
I Enjoying Being a Girl
into CoCo Perus monologue from TRICK.
You know, the one where she talks about getting (um in your eye...

nvm... lol... I'm still looking Updated On: 6/19/07 at 05:22 PM
If I had one (I'm not an actress, but I know what I'd do!) here's what I'd use (giving different options-Shakespeare, etc.)
Music:
Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from "Phantom of the Opera"
something Rogers and Hammerstein-maybe "Edelweiss" from "The Sound of Music" or "Climb Every Mountain"
Monologues: I'd have a Shakespeare and a modern: Shakespeare: My favorite monologue was written for a man, but I love it so much-It's Aaron's opening speech from "Titus Andronicus" ("Now climbeth Tamora Olympus' top...") If I wanted to do a female one, I'd do one of Tamora's speeches.
Classic: Rose's speech from "Fences"-my favorite! ("You can't be nobody but who you are, Cory, that shadow wasn't nothing but you growing into yourself...")
bump
...I'm getting the idea that there aren't many professional actors on this board

There are, but they either don't post, are "dead", or wind up insane.
