I am going to NYC in a week. I already have tickets for Wicked and Little Shop. I was just wondering if anyone had a suggestion on what else to see??? I saw TMM in Feb. but saw Sutton's understudy so I almost want to see it again just for the sake of seeing her live. What about Avenue Q....anyone seen it? I've heard good things about it. Please let me know if there's something great that I shouldn't miss while I'm there!

my votes..

Hairspray.. Kathy Brier and Harvey Fierstein are reason enough. Not to mention it is hilarious!

Avenue Q.. great things have been said about it. And I enjoy Jihn Tartaglia. Everytime I see him do a TV spot, I crack up at the faces he makes.

Mamma Mia..Guilty pleasure.. cheesy, but oh so much fun. :) Besides, Louise Pitre and all but two principals are leaving in three weeks.. they should be turning in power-shows now that their time is limited, ya know?

I'd go w/ your choices -

Avenue Q is a MUST SEE...

I love Sutton so I'd say see TMM also, but if it was just btwn Ave Q and TMM - I'd go for Avenue Q...

Is there a discount for Oz previews?

I've heard great things about Ave Q...see it! Cabaret is closing soon so if you like that show a trip for posterity's sake might not be a bad idea. What about Boy from Oz?

BOY FROM OZ might be tough to score tickets to, but try as I hear Hugh is fairly sensational.

But you HAVE to see AVENUE Q. You just HAVE to.
One of the best things I've seen in years .Very funny, warm and touching.
You won't regret it.

Even though I have not seen it I would say
AVENUE Q
It just is way too cute looking! And the hot puppeteer is just my cup of tea.

I think I will most likely see Ave Q.....sounds too good to miss

But isn't Jarrod Emick in Boy From Oz? I really love him too

Maybe I should just spend all my money and see a show every night! I paid 100 bucks for each ticket for Wicked and Little Shop

Make sure to check broadwaybox.com for dicount tickets to shows. There aren't any available for Ave Q past this week, but maybe you'll find something for another show! :)

BoxOfficeJon, that "hot puppeteer" is a sweet, wholesome innocent lad of only 25 years. (wags finger) You keep those naughty thoughts regarding that lanky extraordinarily sloe-eyed youth with the dazzling smile, creamy skn and firm muscles to yourself!

But I am so completely virginal that he would love the fresh outlook on life and completely untainted view of life.

I think wine just came out my nose. I should know better than to drink anything while reading this board.

Avenue Q is the best show on Broadway right now...it's a MUST. ....Hairspray if you haven't seen it....go, and I have heard great things about Boy From Oz. Forget Mamma Mia....well don't spend $100 on it.

I don't think too many things ever really come close to the opportunity to see a Broadway production of

GYPSY
