me and my mom are coming to NYC in november and i was wondering what shows would be good to see? we were planning on seeing
1)Love Never Dies
2)Phantom of the opera
3)Hair
4)wicked
and maybe
5)the addams family
is the addams family good? I saw a small preview on you tube and it didn't look to good like it thought it would but the video was only one minute long so i could be wrong.
is Hair really good?

Haven't been to Broadway for 5 years, but if I was on a plane to New York this November, the ones I'd want to see would be -
1) Wicked (again, because it's so freaking good)
2) Phantom of the Opera
3) Love Never Dies
4) Billy Elliot
5) Rock of Ages (even though Drew will have left by then)
6) Avenue Q
7) Mamma Mia!
Of course I don't know what your tastes are, but 3 of the shows I'd see match yours, so maybe we have similar tastes. *shrug*

HAIR is, in my opinion, the best show currently on Broadway.
No one can really speak about THE ADDAMS FAMILY because it hasn't started previews in New York yet and it has supposedly changed a lot since Chicago. Ask again next week.
If you've never seen them, I guess it makes sense to see PHANTOM and WICKED, but they wouldn't make my list to see again over everything else.
My list, of what I've seen, would be:
1. HAIR
2. A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC
3. NEXT TO NORMAL
4. LOOPED
5. GOD OF CARNAGE
Of course, you're planning a trip for 10 months from now, so there is no way of knowing what will open or close by then. Hold off on making your list until much later.
Also, try a play. Musicals aren't the only things on Broadway, and I've enjoyed the plays this season much more than the musicals, as a whole.
Of course, we seem to have very different tastes, so feel free to completely discount my opinion.

Phantom is a classic, you can not go wrong with that. Love Never Dies has not opened here so you will have to wait on feedback for that show, Same goes for the Addams family, previews start next week.
Hair is awesome, it is more then a show it is an experience. There will be a cast change on the 9th, hopefully they are just as good as the original cast or better.
Keep in mind what you mother may like, is she a fan of Andrew Lloyd Weber, did she grow up in the sixties, if so she may really like Hair.
