It had a nice 5 month run and at least it DID recieve a cast recording so at least we have that forever to look back on(I myself having not seen the show).

My guess is that it might have worked better in a more intimate setting - especially since half the show is in the March family living room.
I think the basic material lends itself more to off-Broadway than on.
I was a big reader as a kid, but could never get through Little Women. It is, however, my Mother's favorite book and she LOVED the show even more than I did.
