What would be the components of the perfect musical?

There have been many threads like this but none the same.
Anyway, what would be the perfect show? What would it be about? Who would write the music? lyrics? book? design sets/costumes/lighting? Star in it?

It doesn't have to be humanly possible, this is just theoretical.

See, I feel like there a number of perfect shows out there. Sunday in the Park With George coming to mind first. I HATED it at first, everything about it. And then I became obsessed with it, and it really perfectly gets inside the mind of an artist, not just a painter. It is astonishingly beautiful. Some hate the book, I think it's not the most conventional, but it works so well.

That'd be cool if they made a musical about Clue the board game! Susan Egan would make a great Miss Scarlett. Donno about the others yet. But I think Hamlisch (or however you spell that) should do the music. Or Kander & Ebb.

In my opinion, the three main components for a musical would the the score, story (book) and choreography. The best example that comes to mind of all three being as perfect as possible is West Side Story. The story, the music, the lyrics and the choreography cannont get any better.

There's a lot I am not certain of...

There is a Clue-The Musical. It's hilarious. Mrs. White is supposed to be played by a guy in drag.

Some scholars call the original productions of A Chorus Line, Gypsy, and Sweeney Todd examples of what a perfect musical is.

There is definitly a few out there considered the perfect musical, in addition to those three. But, IMO, West Side Story is the greatest triumph of the artform and truly the best.
