Okay, so...this has got to be the most talked about show that hasn't opened on the board.
What's the story? How does everybody know about it? What are it's credentials? Inquiring mind wants to know.
There is some information on the show at its website- www.brooklynthemusical.com
Its gotten some attention here because it stars Eden Espinosa. I can't wait to see it.
Oh Jesus, tell me there's another reason people are excited about this other than you will see someone onstage who was second choice to Saint Idina?
Its music is pretty awesome as well. It gives Eden a chance to blast her R&B chops. She's really amazing.
all the talk about it really makes me wanna go see it.

Is there a demo cd anywhere? I'd love to hear some of it... if anyone has one, please email me.

There is an Eden fanpage somewhere. There's a link on the "Eden E!" thread about halfway down the first page. There are soundclips of Eden as Elphaba as well as a radio advertisement for the show that aired in Denver. You can hear music from the show in the background.
Edit: This is the link I mentioned.

Get with the times Borstalboy! We don't talk about stuff here unless it's linked with Wicked at least five ways.
I'm excited for it because I like the plot (what little I have heard of it)and I am happy Eden has a chance to make the role her own. We need some new blood on Broadway.
That said, given the current "Wickedmania" on this board, I would say it would not be getting as much attention if Eden did not star in it. Its not so much that she is Idina's standby, I think for most people, but she is the standby for the "green girl"- Elphaba. That is what I meant by my previous post.

I saw Brooklyn during it's run in Denver and it was AMAZING! The music is wonderful and the costumes and sets are genius. And Eden, well there aren't enough adjectives to describe how terrific she is.

i can't wait!! i get to see Eden again! i think that it has a good storyline as well. but most importantly (at least to me) IT STARS EDEN!!!
So....forget the book, score and production, it's utterly amazing and not-to-be-missed because it's Eden's next project?
I want to find out more about the actual musical. Full synopsis, anyone?
