Hes back now. he took a leave for follies.

He wasn't there two weeks ago, when I saw it---but his name was in the playbill cast and an understudy page was inserted in the bill. (I missed him)

OK---correction---I just went on the offical Spamalot web-site and he is no longer listed. (he WAS listed on the date that I went) So, I guess he is really done. (i'm not happy)
