Not knowing anything about HAIR, except for some songs and in the infamous nude scene, I decided to see in on my first day in the city. Needless to say, I absolutely loved the show, the cast, the interactions with the audience and lack of fourth wall, but there was something bugging me the entire show

We were seated center orchestra and shortly after the show began four or five people rushed in and were seated to the left section a row back from me. They were quite noisy and disruptive when they sat down but that wasn't the worst part. The worst part is that they sang every single song in the show, out loud, loud enough for us to hear over the microphones of the artists and over orchestra. Not only did they sing, one of the girls would say "SING IT GIRL" or "SANG" out loud right when a song would begin.

Now i understand that this is quite an interactive show but c'mon this is just rude. I don't mind singing along, but I did not pay to hear YOU sing, I paid to hear THEM sing!

This is where it gets interesting. A week later I get back from NY and am looking on here as they announced the new tribe for HAIR and it turns out, they are all new Tribe members joining the show this month. Now they should know better.

That sounds like a bad nightmare.

kchenofan's computer is broken right now. This is her fridge. Now, you can leave a message, but say it slowly, so I can write it on a post-it note and stick it to myself.

Well, at least if they were future cast members they're good (I would hope). I actually sat next to a guy who was in the original production when I saw Ragtime and he was humming along, but wasn't really distracting since he wasn't that loud or off-key or anything.

Kinda reminds me of an incident last year. A few months after my school did Ragtime, Marcia Milgrom Dodge invited us to see the production at the Kennedy Center and then a Q&A with the cast. Well, during the show, the girl who played Sarah at my school was humming and singing softly along. Understandably, the woman sitting next to her wasn't pleased. During intermission she was gave us dirty looks and eventually left at the beginning of Act 2.
