"And why do people go the theatre dressed as if they were going to the gym."
So we've suddenly assumed the right to tell people what they should be WEARING now!?
I saw Turandot yesterday wearing a baggy t-shirt, shorts and old trainers. Yes, some people were dressed up, but I didn't feel that I was doing anything wrong, as I had just come from a REHEARSAL...with the same opera company!
I was there to watch the opera, not to comment on what people are wearing, and since we hardly know *why* people are dressed like that (you know, people do do more than go to theatre in one day) we shouldn't try to that.
