Where Was "Pacific Overtures"??????

I saw the PBS Special that is "Sondheim on Sondheim" over the weekend. To quote Franklin Shephard, I sorta enjoyed it. But it was as if he had never written "Pacific Overtures". One of his oddest, yet greatest accomplishments. It even contains what he once purported to be his favorite songs ("Someone in a Tree"). "Do I Hear A Waltz" gets a mention. "Evening Primrose" gets a mention. "Saturday ****ing Night" gets a mention. But what's up with "PO"??? As the evening started to wind down, I started to realize it wasn't going to be featured at all, which kind of spoiled the ending for me. I saw James Lapine at "Burnt Part Boys" last night and I wish I had had the nerve to ask...
