The record-making performance of Phantom is in progress as I write this entry. I would love to be on Manhattan tonight.
I was 26 in January, 1988 and in my second year of teaching public school music.
Congratulations to everyone involved in Phantom on Broadway.

In January 1988, I had just turned 8 and still living in an orphanage. Incidentally, that same month my siblings and I were told that we were going to be adopted.
The first time I saw PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, was fairly recently. In 2001, I took my younger brother to see it in Boston. Needless to say, we both enjoyed it very much. Last year, POTO was here again playing at the newly-restored Boston Opera House, but I missed it. I was in California at the time. Don't think I wasn't peeved!

I was a year and a half and my parents say that I had already started singing at that time. Don't know if I believe them or not. I have loved Phantom, the musical (not to be confused with the movie, yuck) for about 5 years, or since the tour came by OKC.

Posted: 1/10/06 at 3:51pmI had just closed a production of LION IN WINTER (playing Richard) and was preparing my audition for the National Shakespeare Company. I didn't see Phantom until a couple of years later on tour.

I was living in Los Angeles, trying to deal with the addition of a baby brotehr to the family 3 months earlier. I was very fond of My Little Pony, Mousercise, and Rainbow Brite.
Oh, did I mention that I was 2 1/2?
And even if I was old enough, I would've been smart enough to stay the HELL away from PotO. Something I've managed to do quite easily the past 18 years.
