Where do I get rare music?

Hey gang,

I was hoping everyone out there could toss me their two cents on where I can find sheet music, lifted or otherwise, from some of the more rare musicals produced.

I'm talking about all the rare shows such as Napoleon (London or Toronto), Bounce, and all the other productions that we never get to see printed...!

Any help would be appreciated.

Jack's House of Music? I know that place so very well. I wondered if it was still in business? Are you from Sacramento? If so is it still there next to the Palamino Room?

If you're in NY there is always the NY Public Library at Lincoln Center.

The places I have found sheet music is garage sales. How else would I have acquired the conductor's score to Wildcat, among others?

Also used bookstores.

Beaverhausen...I grew up in Sacrmento also. I grew up off Fair Oaks Blvd. I went to Jesuit HS.

I'd also check eBay. You'd be surprised what you can find there. I located a full score, in German, of Orff's DER MOND.

You could also check Colony Records, on, I think 49th or 50th on broadway.

Colony has a great selection, but be prepared to sell some organs if you're looking to buy a lot of music. Their markup is insultingly high.
