Where is William Finn?

Anyone know the status of "Royal Family of Broadway," or anything else William Finn is up to these days?
I did a search, and there weren't any threads less than two years old, so I didn't want to drag up an oldie.

Posted: 5/24/08 at 5:08pmI'm also very curious. Other than Make Me a Song, I haven't been hearing much about him lately.

I heard that whole project was scrapped.
He needs to rework Romance In hard Times.

Ran into him at "Pamela's First Musical" last week.
He seems to be up to nothing.

He is very busy from April - September.
He runs a professional summer theatre company in Massachusetts. The Barrington Stage Company.
It's where shows like "The Burnt Part Boys" (was scheduled to come to Broadway last year) get their start. It's a place for new composers and fresh actors. Finn acts as a guide and mentor.
Kirsten (or Kristen?) Childs, the writer of "Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chamelion Skin", usually premieres one of her new musicals there every summer.
There's 3 - 4 musicals put up every summer. It keeps Finn busy enough.

"The Royal Family of Broadway" has apparently been shelved. Steve Suskin's On the Record column reviewing the Make Me a Song album mentions rights problems but doesn't say anything more than that. Too bad; I loved everything I'd heard from it.
