I mean no disrespect to Tyler Mount (who I know has built a fan base doing his own thing)... but I watch Laura Heywood’s AOL Build interviews with the expectation of getting lots of interesting substance and candor from Broadway performers. Heywood is a masterful interviewer.
I found Mount’s interview of Ashley Park to be nauseatingly superficial. They hardly discuss anything about the show or Park’s performance (it takes 16-17 minutes to get to anything of substance)—just lots of name-dropping, and ad nauseum discussion of the Tony nominations. Like...we get it. The fanboy complex was really a chore to get through.
Hoping Laura Heywood’s back for the next episode, and I’m disappointed we won’t get to see her interviewing Park, since she had excellent conversations with the other two Plastics in recent videos. Oh, well.
