Edna Turmblad
Tracy's mom, played by Harvey Fierstein. a big beautiful woman who tries to do everything to keep her daughter happy. Unfortunately, crazy things happen and Tracy lands behind bars. Luckily Edna is married to the wonderful, loving, Wilbur (played by Dick Latessa). Edna's big heart eventually saves the Corny Collins Show.
