If you could quickly help me out that'd be great. Which book would you recommend? The piano/vocal arrangement or the vocal with piano accompaniment? I know both are not for the novice, but which one is easier?

If you just want to play the songs for your own entertainment, then get the standard P/V- the melody line is doubled in the piano parts. However, if you want to use it to bring into auditions, go with piano accompaniment version.
I will say that the piano parts in both books are derived from the rehearsal books, so neither one is that "easy". If you can browse and compare hardcopies at a store, just give them a once over and decide for yourself.
-And I can't remember if they came out with an Easy Piano book for WICKED.
Yeah, an easy book did come out, but I want to get as close to the compositions as possible without over whelming myself too much.
I tried looking in stores for the piano accompaniment, but I can never find it. Only the p/v and the easy.
Thanks so much for your opinion!

Buy it from an online bookseller. And NOT from that store a few blocks up from Times Square.
I think you're referring to Colony Records (the store a few blocks up from Times Square.)
Their CDs are stupidly overpriced, and you should really never buy CDs there. But their sheet music is usually marked up only a dollar over than list price, and they are the only place in town to get that stuff (they have a much smaller collection at Sam Ash).
I actually highly recommend Colony for sheet music when you're in NYC. Good selection, decent prices. Just not for CDs.
I think Borders overprices their items. But if you're a member you get sent discounts all the time. Still, it's a little of a hassle.
How much does Colony Records sell for?
I ordered off amazon.com. It was on sale for $12! So I was happy.
