I guess ALW takes the first price with guys like Richard Rodgers, Tim Rice, Kander and Ebb, Alan Menken and Stephen Sondheim in the top ten.

Ok i came up with the figure 21 883 for Andrew Lloyd Webber as of the end of last week (number of performances excluding previews). That is if one discount La Bete which is a play.

Update: Frank Kander seems to beat Rice having 15846 performances. I have not included the plays "three men on a horse", "crucible", "hay fever" and "never too late",. A question is though whether one should really include Gypsy where he seems to have done only the dance arrangements. The different versions of Gypsy totals 1749 performances. He would then have only 14097 performances. I have included "Liza" which is called "special".
