I'm going to New York in two weeks because I'm getting some kinks worked out for my move to New Jersey and am stopping into the city on Saturday, May 8th. (I think that's the date)
Do I see "Promises, Promises", "Lend Me A Tenor", "Enron", or "The Kid"?
For "Promises"- I love the songs I've heard, Sean Hayes, Chenoweth (and yes, I have seen her in more than just "Wicked") and Nikki Renee Scott. Only thing is...will I be able to even gets tickets? D:
For "Lend Me A Tenor"- I love Jennifer Laura Thompson and everything she does. I don't know the show; but I guess it's gotten good reviews. And I'd like a suprise.
For "Enron"- Love Norbert and the subject material seems really interesting.
For "The Kid"- I gave my friend the book two Christmases ago because she's really into LGBT Activism and pretty much everything in that realm, and it's gotten good reviews, tickets will probably be less expensive than the others, and Chris Sieber is always good :)
I'm mostly a three-way tie between "Enron", "Promises, Promises" or "The Kid".
But I will be in New York again in August most likely- so if I decide to go with something like "The Kid" (which is possible; considering $ is tight for me these days...) what are the chances if I decide to see "Promises, Promises", "Enron" or "Lend Me A Tenor", I'll still be able to see it with the stars I want to see? Do you think they'll still be there? I mean I know it's only a few months; but you never know...and sometimes they like to take vacations or something.
The Kid is a limited run, closing May 29th. So, unless it extends, you might not get to see it after your first trip. I can't comment on quality of these shows because I haven't seen any of them yet.

Enron or American Idiot, which should be on your list.
Can't you just accept that American Idiot might not be everyone's cup of tea and make their list of shows to see?
Every time you plug the show I get closer and closer to not using my ticket next week.
Lend Me A Tenor (IMO) should not be missed. I thought it was wonderful. It boasts fine performances buy a fine group of actors. I liked Enron well enough, but was very disappointed with Promises, Promises. I haven't seen The Kid so I can't say.
Whatever your choices - Enjoy! :)
