I think
Kristin Chenoweth ...maybe even Barbara herself :) If she's paid enough she might do it? *he he*
I also think Linda Eder...

Sutton Foster all the way!!!!!
other choices would be Adrea McCardel, Susan Egan, linda eder
Good question!
I think Kristin Chenoweth is great (and a sweetheart to work with -- as I may say from personal experience) -- but I think she's way too WASPy to be Fanny Brice.
I think Linda Eder is too old. She's a great vocalist, but her acting is nowhere near what it needs to be for a role like that.
What about that chorus girl from HAIRSPRAY with those fabulous set of pipes? She even looks just ethnic enough. (I'm sorry that I can't think of her name off the top of my head.) You HAIRSPRAY fans out there will be able to help me out. You must know who I mean.
If they were looking for a name ...
I simply have no idea.
HAHAH SHOSHANNA BEAN!!! Omg you are SOOO right i LOVE Her.

Shish would tear it up in that show! Great choice!
Shoshana would be great, but I'd like Darcie Roberts to do it again.

If you want a GREAT FANNY in "FUNNY GIRL" you have no choice but to go with Jennifer Lopez.
hey butch dont rain on my parade
How about Rachel York ? she may be a little to old now.
or how about the girl that played the orignal Peggy from 42nd St
I can't think of her name I think the last name is Levine? She can really sing and dance.

Julia Murney, I heard she did an awesome rendition of "People" at the Funny Girl Concert last year
or Anna Gasteyer
Ana Gasteyer has a great singing voice, and she's funny. I know she's played the role before (or currently anyway), so I would love to see her play it on Broadway.
Caroline O'Connor!
I've loved Caroline for years, and she's played Fanny before in an Australian production. (I think, it was Australian.)
I didn't see it, but I don't have to, I can just imagine it!
She has the voice, she can do th accent, she's a great dancer, and the comic talent, well, we all know the answer to that!
And since she's now made her presance known on Broadway then it'd be a great for her 2nd Broaway role.
