Posted: 5/18/07 at 1:42pmI have a chance to see a community theater production of this Tony Award winning play this weekend. Has any on here seen it before? If so, please provide me with either a personal review or link to one. Thanks!

Posted: 5/18/07 at 2:36pmI did lights for a local production of Morning's at 7 and the whole time I kept waiting for something to happen, I was bored for ten nights straight. I am not a fan of the play but it may have been this particular production.

Posted: 5/18/07 at 3:16pmI directed this beautiful play last year. I'd waited for 22 years to do it. The play is a simple slice-of-life about the way our lives change and the compromises we must make. The play focuses on four sisters who live near one another in a small town in the1920s. There are plenty of resentments and troubles among the women and their spouses, but it's resolved in the end. It's not a dynamic work, by any means, but a thoughtful and loving portrait of people and their relationships. There are some great roles in this show and the actors who get to sink their teeth into these parts have the opportunity of shining through. It's a brillant work.

Posted: 6/4/07 at 12:34pmI finally got around to seeing it this past Sat. The 1930's midwestern dialect seemed just a lil' dated but I really felt the despair of the sisters and relations condemned to a somewhat banal existence in the middle of nowhere. To my surprise, the "revelation" proved shocking to a seen-it-all/heard-it-all type like me.
