Those prices are not sooo bad... but really $60.00 is what ticket prices SHOULD be for orchestra. Make sure if you have a problem with the seats to write a letter to Thomas Shumacher.

I've done the math, and you are right about that...but I take what I can for $60.00 and under. (I've made a statement here that I will not pay over $60.00 give or take 5 or 10 (charges no included) for another show on Broadway.

Posted: 8/28/06 at 12:38pmI hope sooner or later these prices make the current Bway business model collapse. There seems to be no stopping the greed. Can you imagine wasting $120 for Tarzan? And who goes to a show alone? That would be $240.00 for garbage, you can rent the Tarzan DVD for pennies.

And who goes to a show alone?
Because of prices, my friends and family are not coming with me and I am seeing this show by myself.

Posted: 8/28/06 at 2:19pmAs for $60 for orchestra, the show would close in a day. There is no way that $60 for the orchestra could be charged with the current economics of producing a show as large as Poppins.

Prices could be $20-$30 lower without it being a risk.
$60 could be done, but it's risky.
If prices were between $80 and $90, it would be as much of a risk.
So it can and can't be done at $60.

Posted: 8/28/06 at 2:46pmYou really want to be mid-orchestra or further for Poppins or you'll have the magic ruined. Obviously Mary can't 'really' fly but sitting in the 3rd row of the stalls doesn't help u believe. The other stand out 'effect' scene is also spoilt if you can see the strings. Stay away from the stage kids!
