Shear Endurance: A discussion with the man behind the longest running play in American History
I've seen it three times here in DC...it's hysterical. And it's fun, because they change the jokes up every once in awhile to go with current events. Plus, the audience participation makes for easy improvs for the cast.
Thanks for the link. :)

I have ushered for it 5 times when it was here in Atlanta. They changed up the lines and jokes pretty much everyday, so it was fun everytime.
I've seen it twice, once in Boston and once in DC. In DC, I went with school and they mentioned our school during the show. It was cool. It's such a funny, awesome show.
I saw it in DC and loved it.

Oh! I saw it! 'Twas fun.
Ohh what a hilarious show. Anyone know if the rights are available to it?

I was in the San Diego company of the show. One of my all time favorite shows to be in! We would have company meetings every few days to update all the jokes.
I know that, when I was doing it, the only productions were the "official" Shear Madness productions. But, there was talk of opening up the rights. Don't know if that has happened yet or not.

I've seen it in Boston... it's great!
I was late getting around to seeing this. A production just opened in my area and one of the papers I write for sent me to interview the director and the star a few days before the opening. This production was in a dinner theatre and it seemed a perfect venue for it. It was very funny and the audience clearly loved it.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
I love Shear Madness! It's hilarious!

saw it in DC about 4 or 5 years ago and loved it
one of my CLOSEST CLOSEST friends Brad Letson is playing the Gay Hairdresser in this show. I ADORE him and can not wait to go see it in a few weeks in DC!!!!
I saw it in Boston...I dunno if I really liked it as much as people think here. It was funny though and I liked the audience interaction. I dunno about the other theaters, but the one in Boston was tiny! I was sitting right on the side @ the table near the little reception desk.
I love the show. It has no ad libs, by the way. Every single situation has been scripted. There are a list of things the actors can pull from, in the script. Every situation has happened, and a line has been written for it.
I saw it in Boston a couple years ago. It was great.
