Sorry I know there is a thread on Hamilton casting but I'll be seeing Hamilton in Chicago tomorrow sunday (6/10/2018) and wanted to know who I will be seeing play the 2 roles. I know the New York Hamilton standby goes on on sundays and didn't know if that was the case for the chicago Hamilton. I've already seen Miguel in the role so it would be cool to see a different Hamilton. Anyone know?

there is a sunday hamilton - i’m not sure who is currently playing that role because the previous alternate is now playing hamilton on tour. there is no burr alternate on sundays but you will def be seeing a different hamilton. enjoy the show!
Thank you! I think I'll be seeing Jimmie JJ jeter in the role. Who is African American so that's awesome. And I assume the actor playing Burr does all 8 shows so I think I'll be seeing Jin Ha. Very excited!
I’m excited that my work travel has me in Chicago again in two weeks so I bought my ticket yesterday to see Hamilton again on the evening of Wednesday July 18th.
It will be my third time to see it. I was lucky enough to see it the first time in November 2015 with the original broadway cast with exception of Jonathan Groff (who was shooting the series finale movie of the HBO show Looking). I got Andrew Rannells as King George, which was awesome. I saw it the second time last November when I was in Chicago (the first time) for work. Although nothing will ever compare to the OBC, I loved it even more the second time as I had much better seats and was more familiar with the music and story. Even before that, it was (and remains) my favorite musical of the almost 80 musicals I’ve seen. So excited for my third time!
While I’m here, anyone know if there have been any significant changes to the Chicago cast since November?
Has anyone seen Tommar Wilson as Burr?
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I didn’t find a specific thread devoted to this and didn’t want to start one just for this.
I’m seeing Hamilton again on July 18. Already have decided what merchandise I want by scoping out the merchandise on the Hamilton app. I considered pre-purchasing some items but shipping fees are ridiculous. My question is does any anyone knew if these are same prices in theater or are they higher? Also are these items all typically available? When I saw it in Chicago in November I bought the black hoodie, program and the magnet, but don’t recall other prices. Thanks in advance!
“Hamilton & Jefferson & Madison & Jefferson & Burr” t-shirt - $40 (if not available, I’d get the $40 “Immigrants we get the job done” t-shirt, if available)
Hamilton stocking cap - $30
Hamilton tote bag- $30
Hamilton black coffee cup - $20
Seeing this again tomorrow (Wednesday, July 18) night for third time (first time with OBC in 2015, second time also in Chicago). So excited. Hope I can sleep especially as I have full day of work tomorrow before the show.
Saw it again last night. Most of the regular cast was on except standby (Jimmie “JJ” Jeter) for King George and swing member (Aaron Alexander) was on as Samuel Seabury. Jeter was very funny and has a unique take on King George.
It also felt like they may have extended his role slightly at end of Hurricane. At least, I don’t recall King George re-appearing center stage there when Hamilton is disgraced over his adultery. They added (or at least I don’t recall it from November) brief choreography involving that dance the backpack boy does. Jefferson does it then Hamilton does it later to mock him.
Jin Ha was amazing as Burr. And I immensely enjoy Cervantes’s take of Hamilton. Some of the female cast appeared to be having some slight vocal issues last night but acting was great. I still ugly cried at the end. Bought too much merchandise. Stanley (Mulligan/Madison), Cervantes (Hamilton), Glover (Angelica), Sabares-Klein (Eliza), and Alexander (Seabury) all came out to stage door and were very nice.
Update: I forgot to mention that I asked Cervantes about the rumor that the Chicago production is closing in January (currently there are no tickets available on Ticketmaster past January). He said there is no plan to close any time soon and he is hoping big for a five year run. I heard others at stage door asking other cast members similar questions and receiving similar responses. Not sure if that is true or if they’ve been told not to confirm the closing early next year. The staff at The Grillroon restaurant across the street from the theatre said the rumor is that Harry Potter will be the next show in the CIBC Theatre after Hamilton closes.
