Anyone going to see The Persians?

The National Theatre of Greece is presenting six shows of Aeschylus' The Persians at City Center in NYC, Sept. 16th to 20th.

It'll be in Greek with English supertitles. Supposed to be the oldest known Western play, written 480 B.C.

Anyone seen it performed or read it before?

I saw The National Actors Theatre production a couple seasons ago. I really liked Ethan McSweeney's production (Michael Stuhlbarg was wonderful as Xerxes). I'd be curious to see this production, but as it doesn't look like I'll be back in the city before the 20th, it doesn't look like that's going to happen, unfortunately.

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

One thing I hear is interesting about this play is that even the winners of the war are not absolute winners.

There is something to do with reverence for the Gods, with lessons to both sides of the ancient war, so I read from a clip...
