Who's Your Favorite Funny Actor?

Which stage actor, On or Off Broadway, gives you the giggles?

re: Who's Your Favorite Funny Actor?

And if you'd care to say why, is it the voice itself, style of delivery, comic timing, body language or something else that gets you giddy?

Gary Beach, for all of those reasons. Also Nathan Lane for timing and delivery.
What if the hokey pokey really IS what it's all about?

The cast of Spamalot and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels were hilarious.

Amy Spanger and Kevin Cahoon were hilarious in The Wedding Singer.

Felicia P. Fields brought the house down at The Color Purple

Most people here won't know's the actress, but Beth Flynn is the funniest actress I've ever seen. She's an actress in Denver, and occasionly does theatre elsewhere.

Marian Seldes: An extraordinary genius of body language, delivery and deadpan panache. Flawless, peerless and unique.

Madeline Kahn: The voice. The delivery. The face.

Julie White: Yes--it's a shtick, but she's brilliant at it.

Also add Dame Edna, Bill Irwin, the late great Dorothy Loudon and Dame Maggie Smith who gave perhaps the single funniest performance I've ever seen, in LETTICE AND LOVAGE over a decade ago -- I hope I can see her on stage again someday.
