"She was saying she was this ignorant hick, but she looked like she was raised in a big white house with a picket fence by a family who liked to go yachting every summer. She was too refined or something."

As someone raises in the south, let me say that even being raised like THAT, you can be an ignorant hick.

As far as the age difference, that is the age difference that is SUPPOSED to be there and Laura is the age that a nurse would have been at that time in history there. Just because it is usually cast with a 35 year old doesn't make Laura the wrong age.

Want to talk creepy? 19 year old Laura Benanti as Maria opposite richard Chamberlain as Capt Von Tropp in the last Sound of Music revival. Granted, the audience didn't much care since Chamberlain was the star and Benanti was as icy and distant as ever on stage..

Ugh, I thought Matthew Morrison was dreadful when I saw it last June. Totally phoning it in - nice voice, but never once in the moment.

Have there actually been any positive reviews of Osnes?

I chose, and my world was shaken. So what? The choice may have been mistaken. The choosing was not.
