Hey there
What makes these benefit concerts special is that they are one-of-a-kind events that you won't be able to see elsewhere. And they are often of musicals that weren't incredibly successful in their original runs, or they have a huge star who normally wouldn't be available for a project like that one.
Your idea is a great one, but unfortunately for a one night concert, the money needed to produce it ranges from $10-50K generally...a Broadway show takes far more than that and a lot more work.
Just looking at last night's cast alone. Ann is in a successful run that I doubt she's leaving any time soon, Sutton is working on Little Women, Christian's in TMM, Deven is going to be leaving most likely to do Batboy in London, Cody will get snatched up at any given moment and Hunter is in Little Shop...thats another fun part of the one night concerts, you get to see people do something they wouldnt normally be given the opportunity to do.
Keep coming and keep enjoying the concerts!
Love, Jamie
