Yes, that David Gest.

He's judging, along with David Ian and choreographer Brian Friedman, the UK version of the Grease show, for this summer's English companion production (a revival of the 1993 production).

What the hell does he do?

Better yet, why is Brian Friedman judging? He is a hip hop teacher/choreographer. He's never done a legit show in his life. Ridiculous.

Yankeefan, there was an article on David Gest on MSN (I think) on his new found celebrity in Europe. According to the article, they LOVE him over there. For the life of me, I can't figure out why.

Does anyone know what David Gest does? I mean, besides take a right hook to the eye? Seriously, I don't remember ever hearing of the man before their marriage and for the life of me, I don't think I've ever heard anything about the man other than their marriage. Why would anyone put him on any show?

I believe he is in Music Promotion - the same way Simon Cowell is. That is how he met Liza - while promoting her concert and CD tribute to her father.

They just said "Be our guest" and he got it wrong.

David Gest, was a huge hit on Decembers UK Celebrity Jungle. He was surprisingly entertaining when they could get him to stay awake for longer than five minutes. He showed no fear in the horrid tasks that they set up for everyone. He dropped a couple of stone during the two week show.

It gives me no pleasure to share this information with you. As a huge Liza fan, I knew I was going to hate him, and was prepared to watch with morbid fascination. It was during this time he won(?) me over
