Why not?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Nowadays, because an entity is given producer billing doesn't mean they are actively producing said show. Disney is probably a large investor in Arcadia and indeed, why not?

Investors used to be satisfied with Associate Producer billing at most, but since Tonys are awarded to all the producers above the title (and not 'in association with') the big money people think they deserve Tonys for writing checks.

The Shubert Organization used to (and may still) put money into every show they could so they could see how much money a show was really making and not making what a press release said it was making.
