Why is Talk Radio listed as a revival?
#1Why is Talk Radio listed as a revival?
Posted: 6/4/07 at 8:44amI was wondering, if this isthe first time theat Talk Raido has been on broadway. So, why is it being listed as a revival for the terms of the Tonys. I think on ibdb.com they said that they listed it as a revival because it played in the 1980s off broaway. So, if that is the case then why is that making it a revival.

Just as the Tony Committee decided with "Assassins" a few years ago - once a play has entered the popular repertory - even if it has never been produced on Broadway - it cannot be eligible for the
"New Play" category.

I was wondering, this is the first time Talk Radio has ever been on broadway. Yet, Why is it getting billed as a revival?"
