I just watched this movie for the first time and while I found it shockingly disturbing (what with the crazy Thriller-esque zombies and the eating of Amy Spanger) I still loved it. I don't understand why there is no CD... the CD from the stage show is $60 on Amazon... no way can I blow that much on a CD. I just don't get it... the music is hilarious.
just buy the DVD, that way you get both
did you try Footlight.com?? My friend is good friends w/ Dan Studney the composer... I'll try and find out if there's a real reason other than lack of interest/cost.

I have the CD of the Los Angeles cast of REEFER MADNESS. Here's the label information: Madness Records M0753.

I wondered the same thing, but you can buy it for like $14. I bought it straight from the composers out in LA. I just sent them money through Paypal and got it. Just search for their names or something. I don't remember how I came across the site.

The thing is I am unbelievably obsessed with the show. I just find it so addicting but i'm only 15 so I don't really have a credit card to buy the cd online for $52. Sure, my parents let me buy stuff but $52 for a single CD? They would never buy it.
I honestly think that they should put the CD back in print now. Just because I know a lot of people who started liking it since the movie came out. Isn't that enough motivation to to start selling it again?
I was wondering the same thing. I think that if the people wanted to hear the movie tunes, they just bought the DVD. Kind of random, but hey, maybe Showtime didn't think they could make any money off of a TV Soundtrack.
Tommorow I am giving my friend the Dvd as a B-day gift. Makes the perfect gift no? I am wrapping it now.

Just make sure the DVD 'reefer' scent stays on!
I got my dvd before they were on sale and to this day the scent has stayed.

I find that my DVD scent has the strongest effect when it is in a smaller, confined room. Like a closet.
Not that I go inside a closet with my Reefer DVD.
Everyone inside the closet has a reefer dvd ^_^
All the DVD's I owned in college have that scent.
All the things I own have the scent. MMMMMM!

haha.
Speaking of the Reefer DVD, I was letting a friend borrow mine (which is very rare of me to ever let anyone touch it) and they returned it to me at school and I got in trouble 'cause they thought it was a porno. They didn't believe me till they looked it up online.

No dramakiddd - I got my CD for cheap. Like the price of a normal Cd. Just look up the writers or the show's official website. You can order from them for normal price. Don't pay $52. It's worth the $14 though. They have a bunch of songs that aren't in the show plus they have a song from thier upcoming musical - which i think has been "upcoming" for quite some time now - but it's great.

Either way, i'm going to bribe my parents somehow to getting it for me.
I mentioned this in the other thread, but I'll mention it here too.
Because I too was so finicky and wanting to walk around humming the tunes straight from the DVD, my friend ripped the songs and converted them into .mp3s (on CD).
I have them if you'd like them. It's like listening to the movie with your eyes closed. And completely legal! We bought the DVD, t'ain't nothin' wrong with capturing the music.
You can also download a program (for about 30 dollars) that rips the sound off a DVD. You can then play it in itunes to your heart's content. I did that for the movie soundtrack - I actually like it better than the cast recording (which I also own). You can also get a program (the trial version is free, which is all you need) to help cut the dialogue off tracks since some of the tracks on the DVD aren't just the music. The quality remains excellent doing all this.
"Listen to Jesus, Jimmy" from the movie is my most listened to track on itunes!

the thing that's $52 is the score- like on paper, the sheet music. the CD is a normal CD price. promise. I bought both a few months ago.
