I'm not a huge fan of Wicked, but I'm just glad to see that I am not the only one who thinks the Lion King is crap.

i think opposite. I see wicked and lionking totally on a different level. I would say Lion King is more superior.

A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it, but all she really dreams is to make someone else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer. And that is so beautiful-Anonymous

both of them have amazing sets, although the effects for lion king are probably more...intricate than wicked...but overall i'd definitely have to say wicked

It is hard to compare the two. I really liked The Lion King but I LOVED Wicked. I guess I would pick Wicked. TLK's costumes were amazing! I also really liked the choreography. The show as a whole was good.

I'm partial to Wicked. It's my favorite of all the shows I've seen.

I hope to go into costume designing, so I have to admire the costume work in The Lion King, but other than that, its just a reproduction of the movie. It would be cheaper to just stay at home and watch the movie.

I would say Wicked is stronger in the departments of acting and music, but Lion King is a fabulous visual spectacle.

I prefer The Lion King. I've never seen the Broadway company, but the actors in the tour that I saw (except for a couple of the principals who were excellent) were nothing to write home about. But, it's beautiful to look at and has a wonderful story and music.

Did you ever see something and say, "I just have to have it"? Sometimes a dream appears unattainable...but for anyone who's on the downside of advantage, and relying purely on courage, it's possible.

The two shows are completely different. Wicked is a better show with a better story, but Lion King is definatley not crap! They are both totally original and can't really be compared overall. except in very specific subdivisions of the musicals, ,mainly because like i said earlier they are both highly original.
