Hi,
Just purchased seats through ticket master and they at CC 118 and 117. I thought they would be great, but have noticed on many sites that I will not be able to see the whole show due to being so close and will have a bad neck after. My daughter already has a sore neck. Please advise if this is true or not. Ticket master will not exchange for seats further back. I am so excited about this show, going in December and am so concerned now.
thanks,
janie

The stage at the Gershwin is definitely a bit high. Being in row CC, you are definitely going to have to be looking up during the show, but it is not as bad as you may be envisioning. You don't miss too much of the stage, and don't miss much of anything of the show considering that most of the blocking takes place downstage. Personally, I think you will be fine with these seats, but if you would prefer to not be looking up at all during the show, seeking out new seats may be a good option.

Personally, I would never purchase orchestra tickets for WICKED. I always go mezzanine due to the high stage. You may not be able to see some of the lights during "One Short Day", as they are all in the back, but that should be it. As Matteo said, most of the blocking takes place downstage. The stage is slightly raked as well, so that should help your sight.

Theatre is my life. No one can take that away from me.

I've sat in DD 118 and it was fine; I actually loved the seat.

Will you have to angle your head up a bit? Yes. Will you have to crank your head in an upwards position that's unnatural? No.

You should be fine.

I think it depends on where in the orchestra you're sitting for it to be a bad view. I've always sat in the orchestra for Wicked (I prefer to look up to see her defying gravity, not look down at her).

I have sat in Row W, Row CC, DD, and EE Center. The only thing you will have to worry about is seeing what is right above you. You will not miss anything else, I promise. You have great seats!

I have sat in that same row. THEY ARE AWESOME SEATS!!!! They are the best I have ever seen this show from! It makes You feel like you are in the show. The stage is pretty eye level compared to make Broadway stages. You won't have a problem except when the monkeys fly over the audience they literally fly over that row so you will be looking directly up for 5 seconds.
