Anyone ever bought Wicked Cancelation tickets? At this point, since we have tried the lottery so many times and never won, i'm thinking of just making the cancelation line and buying tickets!
If I dont get tickets to this show next week I'll never hear the end of it. Everytime we're in the city and we dont get Wicked tickets my wife complains about it for a month. She wants to see it so bad. And Ticketmaster never has any tickets either.
Hows the cancelation line? what will i have to pay? $125?
Anything that comes open through cancellation will be full price ... it just depends on where the seat is located to what you'll pay. More often than not, orchestra seats are usually freed up, so prepare for the worst (finance wise) and the best (seat wise)
jaykill whats the worst? $150? $125? $100? please dont tell me its $250 or anything crazy like that
You shouldn't have to pay more than $110. I wish you luck with the lottery! It's the best way to see the show...it's worth it at 25 bucks. I would be a little upset to pay $110 for this particular show, but I'm sure your wife will be happy either way!
courtnyj... trust me! i know!! my wife has played the cast album around our house a few times and i dont even find the music in the least bit interesting. i'm hoping tho that i'll find it enjoyable... i mean... maybe i wont love it... but its not possible that I will hate it? is it?? lol.
lets see what happens. we'll try lottery i guess, and if that doesnt work... we'll make the cancelation line. blah

I would be careful about trying to do the lottery and then going to the cancellation line if you don't win. Most likely by that time there will already be a significant amt of people in line and there's no guarantee that you'll get a ticket. You need to be one of the first 5-10 people in line to definitely get a ticket.
Also, I've done the cancellation line several times where they start selling tickets for it just before or immediately at the start of the lottery, so they could also already be gone by the time the lottery is over.
I have never not gotten tickets via the cancellation line, and I've done it 3 times. You'll pay full price for the ticket, $110.50, but if they have house seats or premium tickets left they won't sell those for the $250 price, they'll sell them for the $110.50.
Good luck, I hope you finally get to see it.
thanks everyone!
could i put my name in the lottery and ALSO make the cancelation line? that way, if i win lottery, i can jump out out of the cancelation line really fast and claim my lottery ticket!?
and if i dont win lotto, i'm already in the cancelation line. or does that not work because they sell the cancelation tickets before the lotto?
As the cancellation line is inside near the box office, and the lottery is outside, I don't think you'd hear them call your name if you're standing in the cancellation line.
yeah but my wife could be outside listening and she could wave to me from outside if i win? lol... i'm trying every sneaky way to get tickets!
I haven't been to the Wicked lotto in many months, so this could have changed, but the rule used to be you had to choose one, either the cancellation line or the lotto, and that was the only thing you were allowed to do- I'd always see people who just stepped away from the box office buying a cancellation tix and then right then their friend's name would be pulled for the lotto.
sucks! i guess i'll just have to pick one or the other... chances are, i'll probably just buy cancelation tickets.
i cant believe i'm gonna spend all that money on this show! i dont even want to see it.
Try the $50 seats in the rear mezzanine. The view is great and you're not paying top dollar for something you really don't want to see.
There's really no way to choose what seats you want in the cancellation line, you basically just take what they give you which are typically the house seats or premium seats that haven't sold. There's no way you'll be able to get rear mezz seats now if you're trying to go next week.
And my experience with the lotto is that you have to be standing outside to win a ticket. If you won and were standing in the cancellation line and they saw you walk outside to get your ticket they most likely wouldn't give it to you, and they're good about making sure everyone is pretty much lined up in front of them while they're reading the lotto names.
