re: Wicked Cast

When is it coming in September? Because I looked for dates and couldn't find them. And I don't know who is going to be in the cast.

re: Wicked Cast

Considering it's not going to be here until Sept. 2006, it's most likely going to be a totally different cast.

re: Wicked Cast

Thanks DayDreamer. I thought I read that Wicked wasn't coming here until sometime in 2006 but I got confused. Thanks again.

re: Wicked Cast

Unfortunatly I know WAY too much about Wicked (which I will never admit in public again)

I'm hoping to see the current cast in DC over the holidays.

re: Wicked Cast

Tickets are only on sale to Paramount subscribers, I believe.

Stephanie Block won't be coming here on tour. Her contract expires before she gets to Seattle. Unless it gets renewed, we won't be seeing her, from what I've heard.

re: Wicked Cast

I was looking forward to Stephanie too. Shoshana Bean might replace her on tour, as she's out of a job once Eden Espinosa takes over Elphaba on Broadway.

re: Wicked Cast

Shoshana Bean has a record deal, and has stated she isn't doing musical theatre again.

re: Wicked Cast

Shoshana Bean will never do Wicked again. She's gone on record saying she will not do Broadway or anything related, in favor of an attempt at an R&B career.

It will likelly be Julia Murney, who is 100 times better than Shoshana Bean.

re: Wicked Cast

Although I would have really liked to see Stephanie, I about crapped myself when they announced Julia to take over. She'll be fantastic.

re: Wicked Cast

I am not 100% you guys in Seattle will be getting Julia Murney as Elphaba.

The current rumor is that she is only contracted through August, and that her last stop on the tour will be San Diego. Since Eden Espinosa is only contracted on Broadway through August as well, most people believe Julia will replace her at that time.

Regardless, the show is enjoyable, no matter whose in the cast.

re: Wicked Cast

Well at least it won't be Shoshana Bean.

re: Wicked Cast

Hilty is a possiblity and Shoshana Bean expressed interest in performing in Seattle since she grew up in Olympia.

re: Wicked Cast

I saw that they're auctioning off the front row seats for a charity. I wonder if they're going to have a lottery in Seattle.

re: Wicked Cast

I would doubt it unless they've been doing a lottery for the rest of the tour. The Paramount is awful about doing any kind of discounted prices for students or day-of-show or anything. The only time I've seen anything like that is with RENT and their rush tickets.

re: Wicked Cast

I think it depends on the theater. I do believe some theaters during the tour have done the lottery, while others haven't. I don't believe the Kennedy Center did the lottery.

re: Wicked Cast

Yeah. I'm saying that tours like RENT have a $20 rush system no matter where they go. It's in the contract that these theatres have to offer those tickets. If Wicked doesn't have anything like that in it's contract, then I highly doubt the Paramount will have any kind of discount for this hot of a show. They sure didn't for Lion King.
