Wicked Cast Question

Does anyone know how long Kristin is scheduled to be in Wicked? I am planning another trip to NY this spring, and am curious if she will still be in the show.

I think Kristin is in until May, she has some committments next spring, late and I believe she will leave then. However, things could change and I find it hard to believe that she would leave before the Tonys. Anyhow, early spring should be fine to see the OBC.

She's doing "Candide" with the NY Philharmonic (And Patti LaPone, as the Old Lady) the first week of May. But I think she may be returning to "Wicked." It sounded more like a contractual out -- brief -- rather than a post-Wicked gig. Yes, seems to me most stars contract through Tony season. The last thing anyone would want is for voters to rely on memory.

I heard she was leaving to do something like Alice in Wonderland the Opera..could be total rumor, but I remember hearing she will be leaving in May. I wonder when Idina will call it quits...

Elphie: Slightly OT, I read your other moving tribute to Idina at another thread. Do you think the vocal demands of this role will take a toll? I'm a layman in terms of the rigors of singing, but it seems to me that this part, 8 times a week, will be hard to maintain. Rather like "Evita." Maybe she'll give up two matinees. Just wondering.
