Do you remember when the official wicked website had that commercial for the show on it when you opened it? It started with Popular and then went to Defying Gravity and had a very nice conclusion? Does anyone have that recorded somehow? Does it still exist anywhere? Any help is appreciated(I can trade
). Thanks!
I still hear it on WQXR, the NY Times station, only now with a long "Defying Gravity" musical bridge, before La Menzel chimes in. But they took it down from the web, and have pieces of every number on the album.
I keep wondering: when will the snazzy TV commercial come? This is probably the best show to feature in a TV commercial since ... well, the one that started TV commercials for b'way shows, PIPPIN. (No accident that both are written by Mr. Schwartz?) All the design elements would tape well, as would the two ladies in those defining clothes. I think a clever director could cut/paste highlights to make this show look "unmissable." Perhaps they're waiting until pre-Tony season, because it's still making a million a week without it.
