I know this might be a weird question but, does anyone know what kind of audience Wicked gets? Specifically ages groups and such. The Wicked tour wants a reason why they should come to a University, they're doing this with all of their venues. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I think it is very safe to say that it gets a wide scope of ages.

I hate to sound cynical but I'd bet Wicked knows exactly what their demographics are. They have masterfully marketed this show from the start. I don't think they need people on a message board speculating to know exactly where their target market is.

I agree with that assessment - - having seen Wicked a number of times, I was taken with the wide range of ages in the audience. I've gone with groups who ranged in age from high 60's to 13 and all were taken by the show in different ways. Everyone in our groups felt the show was astonishing, the music memorable and the performances very entertaining. One of the few shows that is whole-family friendly. Younger children also seemed entranced and engaged, which is good... the last thing we want to hear are a bunch of bored children disturbing our enjoyment of the performance.

So in finding out this info, you are trying to figure out a reason why Wicked should come to your University? Does the school have any sort of arts program or any reason why the school would be particularly interested in the show? I'd talk about that, if this is the case, because yes, Wicked is marketed to be for any age group.
