"he was initially contracted to do 8 shows a week, but later on was allowed to do 7"
So JLY couldn't even do 8 shows a week if he wanted to? Like, can he choose to do all 8 performances if he feels up to it?

He is only doing 6 shows a week now. There is no set cover for the performances (although it is generally Michael Longoria). He now does not do Sat or Wed Matinees. I don't think he is changing that. Could he do those shows if he wanted to? I don't know. I think that is something between him and the producers.
am i the only one who dislikes when actors choose to miss matinees, i though it was great of victoria clarke to do the matinees and miss the evenings

It can be frustrating for some audiences when actors miss matinees via their 6-performance week schedule...but for an actor, missing a matinee is usually the best choice if the role demands them rest...
They don't have to do TWO shows in one day, nor do they have to do a show in the middle of the day (which is not as popular as doing an evening show).

Michael Longoria or Matthew Scott usually cover.
So do we really know if Kendra or Julia will only do 6 a week?
