Hiya
Does anyone know how busy the lottery for Wicked in San Francisco has been lately?
How many tickets are in the lottery? Is the stage really high or a nice height? Plnning on going on the 1st thursday of next month.

Have no idea how the lottery has been lately, but I can tell you the stage is a normal height.

The number of seats depends on the night. When I was there they had the front row (not sure how many total) and a bunch of limited views available. Not sure why they didn't offer those to the people in the cancellation line.

Be prepared for the most uncomfortable seat (the actual chairs not the location) in the history of modern theatre.

Up until last Wednesday (when my friend & I FINALLY won the lottery), I had been to the lottery 5 times. There are usually about 200 people at the lottery. It really does vary from night to night on how many seats they give away through the lottery, but I'd say maybe they call 8 people's names and then they maybe call about 4 people's names for the limited view. I was surprised that the stage wasn't more raked. I actually missed some of the scene when Elphie visits dead Nessa and that whole Glinda & Elphie fiasco. And to comment on the seating, it's not like the seats are totally made of wood or steel, but for some reason, I couldn't get comfy at all. I was figeting the entire time. Maybe there's toooo much stuffing in the seats. Who knows.

Question: Will Esparza win for The Homecoming? BobbyBubby: I hope so. If only for the mental health of many people on this board.

thanks for the replys

well i have 2nd row balcony seats (top floor). do you know how high up this is and if its a good view? i was thinking of trying the lottery and if i win selling the balcony tickets.
Firstly do you think i would be able to sell 2 balconny tickets an hour before the show, secondly, do you think i'm better off just sticking with the balcony tickets?
Thanks
