I am totally obsessed with Wicked too--and loving every minute of it! Idina and Kristen are both powerhouses. I don't live in New York either, but I'm hoping to get there soon before Idina leaves. It's too late for me to see Kristin in the show, she's great and all, but Idina IS the show. No offense to Kristin. I'm reading the book now-it's fabulous. People, please no more spoilers!! I can't scroll down quick enough!

Wicked lovers rock!

I saw it Tuesday night for the first time and after the opening number I looked at my 12 year old daughter and we both had tears running down our cheeks. It was incredible. It was the first show since both sides came to an agreement and everyone in the cast was so pumped up. Had a wonderful connection to go backstage after the show and saw all the wigs, costumes...yes Idina's black dress is very heavy and becasue of copyright laws to The Wizard of Oz the dress could not be all black so there's shades of green in it which I thought was interesting. Saw all the harnesses for the monkeys, walked onto center stage and the cast member we were with shared so much fun info with us. Got a great picture of my daughter with "the broom." Saw the dressing rooms and met Idina, Kristin and Norbert..got autographs and took pictures with them. So sweet!! It was a total thrill for us and a magical evening for my daughter. (thanks Ben!)

Glad you had such a great time. Any of those stories you can share?

I found a site if any of you are interested. It contains the full and unabridged text of 7 of the Oz series books on line. It also has some other classics.

Well, I have to admit, I too am smitten with WICKED. I don't live in NY but as fate had it, I have seen it twice!! The first time was on Thanksgiving night last year. I was in NY with a friend and decided to try for the lottery tickets. When we got there, there were about 400 people there!!! That's when I asked myself, "What's so special about this show?"
Well, I was already making plans for the night with my friend because we KNEW we had no chance, when they called my name! I was shocked. But I found out real quick why the show is so special. Idina and Kristin were both there. It was, as most say, simply amazing.

The second time, I went with a different friend the first performance after the Tony's. There was a very special Broadway moment, when during "Popular" Kristin hands the mirror to Idina and is supposed to something like, "Look, you're beautiful." Instead, she says something like, "Look, you'll see a Tony." The audience went wild, the ladies broke character, Idina, I think, teared up a little, and they hugged and it was all just great!

I'd give anything to see KC's last show tomorrow, but that's an impossibility, as I live in Arkansas.

I know!! Even though I'm a loooooong way off, I've been to NY several times and I just make a point of planning my vacations there. I've had friends say, why are you going to NY? They just don't get it or like what I like. I go to NY at least once a year. After all those years, I've found my ways to get there and stay a few days, as cheap as possible.

I am soooooo incredably jealous of people who've been to or live in New York. I've been begging for my parents to make our next vacation to New York just for one day to see wicked and I wouldn't need to take another vacation every again. I've swarn to my parents ever since I was 12, that when I'm eighteen, I'm buying a plane ticket to New York and leaving and auditioning for every show!!! I listen to the cd every night and know every song by heart. And sing it everyday to the point that my friends want to strangle me. I've also gotten 2 of my friends to buy the cd and now they're just like me!!!. I went to Universal Studios the other day and saw there was a huge wicked poster up on the side of a building and let out a scream! I asked the nearest crew member why it was up at Universal Studios. He said that Universal produced it and is starting up the tour and if the tour does well, then they will make a movie. I have mixed feelings about this.
