She's excited about starting college and getting away from her past, but she's not a happy girl, by any means." Bars, very good way of putting Eden's Elphy. I love Edens way of doing Elphaba. Right before Defying Gravity she just bursts wtih emotion because she's all like ok, you want me to be evil- fine boo ya.

The bottom line is that Stephanie has no enthusiasm or excitement in her voice when singing TWAI
I just happen to disagree with that. I found her to be quite spirited in the song.
And if you watch her enter, she has this huge smile on her face until she notices everyone's reaction. Then she goes into "it's not like I wasn't expecting this" mode and kind of mocks them during the "schools song".
Edited to add: mad4music, don't feel bad that we saw Stephanie instead of Eden. I just don't care for her belting voice at all, and I couldn't have been more pleased with Stephanie.

Clearly my post was misunderstood big time...not my problem, I reread it and it seems clear to me. I was just stating my point of view, which if it goes against some, you can be the target...that's what i love about this board...oh, well...I'm glad so many love Stephanie, she left me less than impressed...
