Hi Everyone:
This is per the theater box office....there will be an announcement in the star tomorrow

How would that be possible if that cast needs to go to already booked cities? Plus that set is supposed to come to Chicago...
...that would be where the "in 2006" part comes in.
Well I'm amazed that the tour would end... cause I'm sure it will book for many years. I doubt that aspect.
I'm am sure that another stop in Toronto is in the cards, because it was booked solid for 7 weeks... I'm sure the Mirvishes are all over it like white on rice.
ooh, i get it
Cool beans. A bit surprising though. Maybe they mean the tour's going to end in TO in 2006 and take a hiatus for a few months before picking up for another leg? Purely selfishly, I'm glad it's coming back to Toronto--*fingers crossed that I'll be living in the East next year!*
Thats disapointing. It would be cool if they stoped the tour, so the show can move to the west end. 4 productons of Wicked would be a little much. So they want to keep it down to 3.

so do they have two sets? one for the sit down in chicago and one for the tour? And then they alwasy have the broadway one. seems like a lotta work haha. American's goin to be Wicked-out in the coming years.
RUMOR PEOPLE....THIS IS NOT HAPPENING (i have my sources) this is not happening
I guess we'll see in the morning, if the "it's going to be in the paper" is to be believed.
I know this was already addressed, but there are still some cities it has to play. It's going to play Atlanta in May of 2006. I guess it is rumored it will end toward the end of 2006? Nonetheless, I doubt it's true.

Here we go with the "I've got my sources" bull.
I was at the Wicked lotto tonight and they guy drawing the lottery told us that the tour will be returning to Toronto in a year and a half as the last stop for this particular tour. He specifically told us to check The Toronto Star tomorrow to find out when the next block of tickets for the Wicked tour will be going on sale. Then he said it will be as the last stop of the tour next year. So check The Star's website (www.thestar.com) tomorrow if you want official confimation.
tshell, did you win lotto after that?

Thank you, tshell, for actually citing your sources.
Ahhhhh!!!! You just made me (but not my credit card and bank account) VERY happy!!!
Wha... so, the Pacific Northwest is not going to see it at all? That would suck... there are 3 large metro areas here (Seattle, Vancouver and Portland) and we're not getting the tour at all? I hope it's not true.
Can anyone link me to the full itinerary? I can't believe Seattle isn't ANYWHERE on there.
There have been serious talk of the tour coming back to Toronto for a prolonged stay in late 2006 anyway (there was a huge scuffle when it was announced Chicago would get a sit-down production and not Toronto), so at the very least we can expect it to come back to our fair city.
Don't you hate that, Tiff. First Madonna totally scorns the PacNW in every tour, and now Wicked.
At least we get U2...SIX times in the PNW!
Thank you!
I'm boycotting the U2 tour after the scalpers got all the tix and it sold out within 15 minutes. I refuse to pay scalper prices and hope they loose a lot of money (the scalpers that is)
So let me get this straight...
LA
San Francisco
San Diego
Costa Mesa
But NO:
Portland
Seattle
Vancouver, BC?
That's just wrong.
edit: I just noticed that there are several months that are not accounted for, and the Paramount hasn't announced next years "Broadway" season... *crosses fingers*
