Wicked Wednesday

So i decided to check out Wicked before they all departed, never seen Alexia Khadime, so got myself some cheapies..row E dress circle, slap bang in the middle :) and actually quite surprised at how much i enjoyed myself...still so fresh 3years on!

Alexia's acting is the best i've seen from an Elphaba, she was believable and brought the green girl to life...lower range is beautiful...sung No Good Deed sooo well, couple of riffs :) defying gravity was ok..nothing special. Dianne Pilkington is such a star! she almost steals the show everytime...pure genius that girl!

Everyone else was good/fine. George Ure was on for Boq, Gregor Stewart for Fiyero and also Nessarose u/s. So glad i didn't have to sit through the bore that has become Oliver Tompsett. Gregor's voice was on top form, chemistry with both girls was a bit off though. But he did fill out them lovely tight beige trousers we see in his entrance, quite nicely

Overall the show is doing good. Dress circle was about 2/3 full, didn't bother looking in the stalls. Cast change will be welcome but noones looks bored and show was overall good :) just wish they hadn't cut down the orchestra!!
