I have a question about lyrics in the "Wicked Witch of the East" song in Wicked. I am sorry if this has been discussed, but I don't believe this particular thing has.
*Spoiler (Sort of)*
When Nessa sings "Save him, please, just save him. My poor Boq, my sweet, my BRAVE HIM." Is she really saying 'brave him', or is she saying something else? If not, is that just to make it rhyme?
This has been bothering me for a while, because 'brave him' doesn't really make sense.
none of the words to this song make sense to me

i'm pretty sure that she is saying 'brave him'.
Weird. It's a good song other than that, though.

Yeah--Scwartz didn't really bother with making much sense at all. Haha. Is there a recording of this song anywhere?
yes there is. it's called the original broadway cast album and it's available thru any major retailer
Nessa's songs are not on the OBC. I listen to that cd almost on a daily basis. I wish they were but they left those out.. I don't think there is a recording that is "legal" that has her songs on there.. I might be wrong but I really don't think she sings on the OBC.

nessa sings during 'dancing through life'.
yeah - the recording is definitelty available if you look - and yes, it is brave him. but i think its brave, him. the comma makes it make more sense. and thats my favorite scene in the show - except defying gravity. its amazing. michelle federer makes it perfect.
