Wicked audition song!

Hey everyone!

I live Australia and i've heard that the Wicked team will be auditioning soon.

Please help me find an audition song.
I have a great middle range and would love to perform the role of Alphaba but i haven't had a lead role yet. I also have a great soprano range so would like to show my versatility.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

first of all, don't bother with your soprano range if you want the role of Elphaba. she doesn't do anything but belt, or sing in a pop style. they will not be interested in your legit style, unless they are interested in you for Glinda.

Second, I am one who does say that you can audition for a show with a song from the show, but you need to ask yourself if your rendition of defying gravity will be great enough to blow them away. if it is not, then don't sing from the show. also remember,there will be 50 other girls there singing defying gravity, so pick something different in the same belty range to make yourself different. you need something big and belty. do you know "a new life" from jekyll and hyde?
if I think of other songs, I will tell you, but " a new life" is a great choice.
