Got this in my inbox this morning. Nothing new, except for the rediculous top ticket price (for Toronto, anyway).

WICKED is a new musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin, Academy Award winner for Pocahontas and The Prince of Egypt) and book by Winnie Holzman (“My So Called Life,” “Once And Again” and “thirtysomething”) based on the 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire set to make its Toronto premiere starting March 8, 2005. Tickets go on sale Monday November 29 for a limited 7 week run. The musical is directed by 2003 Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (Take Me Out, Assassins, Love! Valor! Compassion!, Vagina Monologues, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune) and features musical staging by Tony Award winner Wayne Cilento (Aida, The Who’s Tommy, How To Succeed…). WICKED, winner of 14 major awards including 3 Tony® Awards, is the untold story of the witches of Oz, and is being produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.
Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.
WICKED features set design by Tony® Award winning Eugene Lee (Ragtime, Show Boat, Candide, Sweeney Todd), costume design by Tony® winner Susan Hilferty (Into the Woods, Assassins), lighting design by Tony nominee® Kenneth Posner (Hairspray) and sound design by Tony Meola (The Lion King and the recent Man of La Mancha). Stephen Oremus is the show’s musical director. Orchestrations are by William David Brohn, with dance arrangements by James Lynn Abbott.
Casting has yet to be announced for the tour.
WICKED began performances on Broadway on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at The Gershwin Theatre and continues to be the top-grossing show on Broadway. Cast recording available on Decca Broadway. For more information about Wicked log on to www.wickedthemusical.com

$110?! I'm sure the Yanks here will say, "Feh, it's Canadian dollars." but good God that's a lot of money for a tour in Canada!
The Cannon? I thought this would play the Princess theatre. I'm surprised.
Wicked was booked at the Canon Theatre before the Princess of Wales theatre's schedule opened up due to Hairspray's premature closing.
I would prefer the Princess of Wales theatre too (it's much better designed), but I think Wicked will sit well at the Canon, too.

They won't be saying that with the Canadian dollar as strong as it currently is!
(Which reminds me, I better buy some stuff online....) I think this may represent a new top figure for Canadian theatre ticket prices. I think I'm gonna sit at the back.
Still, cheaper than Broadway.
The only hints given about the cast were that Madame Morrible & the Wizard would be played by Academy Award winners. I'm, guessing Grey will be one but need to really think who could be Morrible? Any guesses?
Also Blue Wizard I prefer The PofW theatre too but we can't have every thing!
