hey all. :] i'm aly, i'm in milwaukee, but i tend to hit up chicago frequently, as i'm planning to go to school there (looking at loyola, depaul, and columbia) and love the chicago "wicked" cast too much for words.

just wanted to say hi, and to ask if anyone here is going to be doing anything special or attending any "wicked" events this month?

I just saw the show yesterday. Kate wasn't there, but her understudy (Sara?) was amazing, everyone who know nothing about the show said, "That was her understudy? I can't imagine how good the actual girl would be."

I've been lucky enough to go see Wicked a couple times...went last night and saw Kate's understudy. Not to take anything away from Kate, cuz she's adorable as Glinda and has an amazing voice, but Sarah, her understudy was FANTASTIC! Hysterical during "Popular", and made me cry during "For Good". I'm not quite sure where Kate's been for the past couple performances, but Glinda's in good hands with Sarah!

Kate broke her foot some months (?-they don't really know) back, and they JUST found out..so she has to stay off it for a while...

sadness!
I went on the 9th and found that out...she even popped her head out of the orch pit right in front of me!!

and all that I could do because of you was talk of love...

I ADORE Kate Reinders..She's been my favorite part of the show. I saw her during previews and a while later into her run, and she just keeps getting better. However, having seen the entire original cast both times (with the fantatic exception of Ben Vereen!) I would like to see understudies. I REALLY want to see Kristy Cates go on as Elphaba... I've heard SUCH wonderful things about her:)

There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.
