Posted: 2/11/07 at 2:18pmI have never seen the show at the Gershwin, but from what I've heard, the partial view seats are one of the better deals on Broadway because you're not really missing that much. Which is why it's a better deal than spending tons more to see every bit of the show.

Posted: 2/11/07 at 2:34pmYes, there are aisle seats with partial viewing I won the lottery and had partial view at the Gershwin. It wasn't that bad. We were like third row on the left, but the action happens right in our faces. Some aisle seats have partial view becasue there are two giant pillar/platforms on stage left and right that extend out towards the audience. We had to look directly up during scenes that took place on the high stage right platform, so there was some neck straining. The only scene we could not see well was when the lion cub was in the classroom and Elphaba was causing all the ruckus about it. There were a lot of people on stage during that scene and the partial view took a toll on what we could and couldn't see. Let me know if this helps.

Posted: 2/11/07 at 3:07pmI think I sat in partial view seats (I paid full price, but I definately didn't have a full view of anything) and you really don't miss anything. Just the back corner of the set and some of the action when the ensemble is downstage of the leads.

Posted: 2/11/07 at 3:42pmI've sat in CC4 and the view is awesome! You miss a little of the back stage left corner of the stage, but nothing important. You're view might be obstructed in a few songs by ensemble members, but nothing too bad. And you're right in front of the lower stage left platform!

Posted: 2/11/07 at 8:46pmI sat on the aisle with partial view seats when I saw Wicked. (I think it was the 5th or 6th row, I can't remember right now). You miss a little bit of what's happening stage left (due to the aforementioned pillar/platform), but the seats were incredible (especially for the price!)

Posted: 2/12/07 at 6:33amI've sat BB5 once and BB6 a few times and I LOVE BB6. I'd never sit anywhere else, unless I'm with someone who *needs* to sit next to me! My tip would be to aim for the even side, because on the odd side, there's a staircase that seriously blocks a LOT of the action. Yet on the even side, it's just a ladder, and the view is MUCH better.

Posted: 2/12/07 at 1:54pmI've had partial view seats on several occasions. Not bad. Wouldn't recommend it for a first timer.

Posted: 2/12/07 at 1:58pmi also wouldn't recommend it for the first time seeing the show. If you were going to repeat and see it over and over again, then yes they are great seats for the price, but for the whole BROADWAY experience, you must (in my eyes) see every show full view the first time... ofcourse it's finances permitting also
