Saw it once & that was enough
Had we not seen it & if we went to the box office & saw those prices, we would have turned around & walked away. If & when more people start doing this, the producers may finally come to their senses & stop it before they kill the goose that lays their golden egss
I don't like these prices, so I won't be paying for them. I don't have a problem with it, though. As long as people are willing to pay those ridiculous prices, they will keep on raising them.
Besides, there are so many other good (and better) shows out there that you can get tickets for at a reasonable price.
yeah, well the lottery is the best shot... i lost 3 times already but i have spring break in one week...

If Wicked changed their prices and it is a Nederlander Theater does that mean that the prices for RENT tickets will start going up too.

No, no no.
The producers of the show set the prices, not the theatre owner.
I'm sure it was David Stone's decision. It's not like he's not making enough from the tour, the LA sitdown, the Chicago sitdown, the London production, and now the Japan production.

As great as I think RENT is, I don't think it is anywhere close to being in good enough shape to be able to raise it's ticket prices...

I saw Wicked on thursday (thankfully for free because my uncle has some sort of connection). Even though I didn't have to pay, I looked at the new prices and literally gasped. Although you'll never see me shelling out $120 to see Wicked, or Mary Poppins (once was more than enough for MP), there are handfuls of people who will. Those producers know how to keep the money rolling in.
